A Kirov resident deceived 22 people by promising discounts on marketplaces.

The investigation has completed the inquiry into the criminal case against a 25-year-old resident of Kirov. She is accused of a series of thefts of money from citizens under the pretext of helping them purchase goods on marketplaces with significant discounts. There were 22 victims, with total damages exceeding 12.2 million rubles.

The scheme was as follows: the girl told acquaintances that she had connections and could purchase expensive goods at discounts of up to 50%. She had no intention of buying anything — she planned to use the money for bets in betting shops. To continue convincing people, she actually bought goods for several clients, but then stopped doing so.

According to the investigation, from November 2024 to May 2025, the accused embezzled more than 12 million rubles from residents of the Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod regions in this manner. People, not receiving the paid items, began to contact the police.

The suspect was detained, and her illegal activities were halted. During the investigation, she fully admitted her guilt and expressed remorse. The indictment has already been approved by the prosecutor's office of the Lenin district of Kirov, and the case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
