      Today, July 7, the head of Slobodskoy, Irina Zhelvakova, announced that the contractor poured the first cubic meter of concrete into the foundation of the pool. She also talked about a tradition that she decided to support.

      "It turns out that builders have a tradition — when starting to pour the foundation, one must throw Soviet coins," the head of the city wrote. "I, along with other participants of the ceremonial event, of course, did not have any. The contractor helped. He shared some coins."

      After that, Zhelvakova and the chairwoman of the city Duma, Zlata Baranova, threw coins into the concrete. "May the long-awaited pool appear in the city on time!" added the head of the municipality. "The townspeople have waited too long for this facility.
