Kirov residents were advised not to swim in the Vyatka.
The civil protection department reported that the water level in the Vyatka River near Kirov has risen to 226 centimeters above the zero mark. As a result, part of the city beach has been flooded.
As the beautification department explained, the area was prepared for summer recreation back in June: a passage from Beregovaya Street was equipped, changing rooms, showers, a medical station, a lifeguard tower, and other infrastructure facilities were installed.
However, after the water level rose, part of this equipment was submerged. Additionally, due to the changed situation, it is currently impossible to safely organize a swimming area.
In the near future, warning signs will be installed at the beach asking people to refrain from entering the water. Despite this, rescuers will continue to patrol the section of the river to prevent possible incidents.
