Boris Vesnin checked the progress of the repairs of cultural houses and libraries in Sadakovsky, Kostino, Bakhta, and Russky.
In the village of Sadakovsky, deputies visited library No. 27 and the branch of the Vyatka Children's Art School. The library has had its windows replaced, furniture updated, and book collection renewed. This year, the institution is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The head librarian, Natalia Ivanovskaya, thanked Boris Vesnin for supporting the institution.
"In early June, our library was given a television. Now there will be more opportunities to work with visitors: we will be able to show educational videos, organize screenings of documentaries, and conduct media classes," said Natalia Stepanovna.
In Kostino, they reviewed the renovation of the Culture and Sports Center — the pavement is being updated, window replacements are planned, and equipment is being purchased. The local library No. 26 underwent cosmetic repairs, updated its shelves and book collection, and new equipment is expected to arrive in the fall.
In the village of Bakhta, Boris Vesnin and Sergey Kopytin inspected the House of Culture, where the major renovation of the porch and facade is ongoing, and library No. 24 — here, with the support of City Duma deputy Sergey Kopytin, cosmetic repairs were made to the reading room. Today, the library remains one of the main public spaces for the village residents.
The trip concluded with a visit to the Culture and Leisure Center and library No. 21 in the village of Russkoye. In the House of Culture, all window blocks have been completely replaced, renovations of the foyer, pavement, and central porch are ongoing, modern fire alarm systems have been installed, and a major roof renovation is planned. Model library No. 21, created as part of the national project "Culture," continues to regularly replenish its book collection and remains a sought-after modern cultural center for residents. Support for cultural institutions remains one of the key areas of work for Boris Vesnin. Since 2017, he has been overseeing the implementation of the federal party project "Culture of the Small Homeland" in the region. During this time, more than 100 houses of culture in the Kirov region have received support. The total amount of budget funding has exceeded 360 million rubles, with over 50 million rubles attracted from non-budget sources.
"The House of Culture and library are the centers of public life for small settlements, places where people of different generations meet, children engage in activities, holidays are celebrated, and traditions are preserved. Therefore, it is important not only to carry out repairs but also to consistently create modern, comfortable conditions for residents. We will definitely continue this work," emphasized Boris Vesnin.
