According to the United Credit Bureau (UCB), in May, about 2.9% of residents in the Kirov region received new loans. In total, in the first five months of 2026, 147.49 thousand loans were issued in the Kirov region for nearly 36 billion rubles. On average, there were 13 new loans for every 100 residents of the region from January to May. In this regard, the Kirov region is roughly on par with many regions of the country. Overall in Russia, banks issued 2.64 million loans in May for a total of 733.96 billion rubles. Compared to April, the number of loans issued increased by 4%, and the volume increased by 1%.
