Oleg Shvetsov supported the clean-up event at the Alley of Glory in Novo-Makar.
The guys – veterans of the SVO together with activist Alexandra Krivosheina – collected trash at the site, mowed the grass, and lifted the fences.
"What kind of people they are! Two of them are veterans of the SVO. Guys who have gone through hell themselves, who have their own wounds and pains. They didn't say a word about fatigue. They just came and helped in the drizzling rain. I looked at them and understood: these guys don't know how to stand aside. Even when they themselves need help, they come to help others," Alexandra Krivosheina writes on her social media.
The participants of the cleanup expressed special gratitude to socialist Oleg Shvetsov for providing the tools, noting: "You are the only one who responded to our request."
The deputy admitted that he was glad to help in such a noble cause.
"Undoubtedly, what you are doing evokes deep respect and understanding that through your efforts we can preserve the memory and pay tribute to all the guys who laid down their lives in the fields of the SVO. I am proud that our city has such people as you. Thank you for your work, initiative, and big heart," Oleg Shvetsov said.
