The average salary in the Kirov region exceeded 70 thousand rubles.
According to official statistics, real monetary incomes of the population in the region increased by 2.8% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, while real disposable incomes (after mandatory payments adjusted for inflation) increased by 2.6%.
The highest salaries are traditionally in manufacturing industries — 83,977 rubles (almost 120% of the regional average): in the production of chemical substances and chemical products, the average salary exceeded 110,963 rubles, and in the production of finished metal products — 106,721 rubles. Workers in the information and communication sector earn an average of 83,246 rubles, in finance and insurance — 97,917 rubles, and in transportation and storage — 79,931 rubles.
Below the average are workers in education (53,606 rubles), healthcare and social services (62,716 rubles), trade (60,645 rubles), hospitality (50,597 rubles), as well as agriculture (66,849 rubles).
Employment and labor market
The average number of employed persons in organizations in the region (including small enterprises) from January to March 2026 was 347.9 thousand people. In the first quarter, 13.9 thousand people were hired, and 13.2 thousand people left for various reasons.
41.2 thousand workers (14.7% of the total number) worked in part-time employment. No strikes were recorded during the reporting period.
