Industrial production in the Kirov region has increased by 7% since the beginning of the year.
The industrial production index for the full range of organizations in January - April 2026 was 107% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, in April compared to March, the dynamics were negative - 82.9% (seasonal factor, decrease in activity towards the end of the first quarter).
Manufacturing industries showed a growth of 107.2% compared to January - April 2025. In certain sectors, the dynamics were mixed. The output of textile products increased by 2.9 times, finished metal products (excluding machinery and equipment) by 56.1%, and computers, electronic and optical products by 39.7%. At the same time, clothing production decreased by 6.4%, wood processing by 9.3%, chemical substances and products by 4.6%, and pharmaceuticals almost halved (by 54.4%).
The extraction of mineral resources decreased by 18.2% compared to last year. The supply of electricity, gas, and steam increased by 6%, and water supply and wastewater management increased by 5.9%.
The volume of shipped goods of own production, performed works, and services in industry amounted to 220.2 billion rubles.
