Five landfills in the Kirov region will be eliminated by the end of the year.
The work will take place in the Kilmizsky, Kirovo-Chepetsky, Orlovsky, Podosinovsky, and Falensky municipalities. Contracts with local administrations have already been signed. Almost all the funds for these purposes—95%—will be allocated from the regional budget. The total area of the landfills to be eliminated will be about 7 hectares. As a result of the cleanup, 7 hectares of land will be cleared and returned to economic circulation. After the garbage is removed, soil samples will be sent for chemical analysis. Based on the results, the landfill will receive the status of eliminated. We remind you that earlier we reported that over 1 million rubles were allocated from the local budget for the elimination of unauthorized landfills in the village of Darovskoy. There, five sites with a total area of about 7,900 square meters will need to be cleared.
