The summary of the regional dispatch service of KOGSAU "Lesohrana" as of 08:00 Moscow time on June 8, 2026, indicates: no forest fires were registered in the Kirov region over the past day (June 7). There are currently no active fires.
Since the beginning of the year, there have been a total of 2 forest fires in the region. The total area affected by fire was 0.04 hectares. Of this, the forested area was 0.01 hectares, and the non-forested area was 0.03 hectares. The average area of one fire was 0.02 hectares.
"Lesohrana" clarified the causes of both fires: one occurred due to the actions of local residents, and the other was caused by logging companies.
The agency reminds that the legislation requires the responsible party to fully compensate for the damage to forests caused by the fire, including all costs for its extinguishment.
In case of discovering a forest fire or ignition on lands adjacent to forests, "Lesohrana" requests immediate reporting by phone to the regional dispatch service at 64-34-28, via the 24-hour hotline at 8-800-100-94-00 (free of charge), or by calling 112.
The agency also warns that careless handling of fire, lighting bonfires, burning brushwood, forest litter, dry grass, and other combustible materials in violation of fire safety rules in the forest and on adjacent areas is subject to administrative and criminal liability.
