The pilgrims reached Velikoretsky.

      According to the schedule of the Vyatka Diocese, the meeting of the cross procession in the village was scheduled for 16:00. In previous years, arrival was predicted for 18:00, but in 2026 it was decided to shorten the time at stops to speed up the movement. The pilgrims covered the distance from Kirov to Velikoretsky, which is about 80 km.

      In total, according to the regional government, 31,000 people set out from the regional center for the cross procession. Over the course of three days, some participants dropped out, but a significant group reached the final point of the route.

      Today in Velikoretsky, an evening service with an akathist to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker is planned, followed by an all-night vigil.

      On June 6, the main day of the cross procession, at 10:00, a Divine Liturgy will be held on the banks of the Great River, led by Metropolitan Alexander of Kazakhstan and Astana. After the service, there will be a blessing of the river, and the icon will be carried back to the temple complex by the cross procession.

      We remind you that we previously reported that the pilgrims completed the final stage through the village of Gorokhovo, and during the journey, medics had to evacuate 49 people who could not cope with the load or sustained injuries.
