In Kirov, inmates were issued clothing.

      According to the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Kirov Region, since the beginning of the year, assistance has been provided to 74 people. Specifically, 50 people were provided with seasonal clothing, 22 received help with educational issues, and another five received legal support.

      In one case, assistance was provided in restoring access to funds — a mother with three children received help after a collection was canceled.

      It is also noted that some convicted individuals received information about educational opportunities in colleges and universities in Kirov, including a list of necessary documents for admission.

      Let us remind you that since 2023, a probation law has been in effect in Russia, which provides for support measures for convicts who find themselves in difficult life situations. The system is aimed at helping people during their sentence and after their release to ease their return to normal life.

      Probation includes various types of assistance: help with employment, obtaining education, restoring documents, legal and psychological consultations, as well as assistance with medical issues and temporary housing.

      To receive assistance, convicts can contact the criminal enforcement inspection at their place of residence. Starting in 2025, applications can also be submitted through the "Gosuslugi" portal.
