The heat in the Kirov region has started to decline.
Last week, several temperature records were broken in the Kirov region. On May 17, the air in Kirov warmed up to +30.7°C, breaking the record from 1955 (+29.2°C). On May 19, the thermometer rose to +30.9°C, exceeding the achievement of 1977 (+28.4°C). According to meteorologists, the average daily temperatures were 7–11 degrees above the climatic norm.
However, starting today, May 24, the weather is changing. A cyclone with atmospheric fronts is replacing the anticyclone. Today will be cloudy with clearings, with occasional brief rain and thunderstorms. The wind will be from the west at 9–14 m/s, with gusts up to 19 m/s. The temperature during the day will be +20…+25°C (in Kirov +20…+22°C).
On Monday, May 25, there will be variable cloudiness at night, with fog and light rain in some areas, and ground frosts expected down to -1°C. During the day, there will be brief rain, with thunderstorms in some areas, and the air will warm up to +21…+26°C (in Kirov +22…+24°C). On Tuesday, May 26, meteorologists forecast cloudiness, rain, and thunderstorms, with daytime temperatures of +16…+21°C (in Kirov +17…+19°C).
