Kirov roared.
It should be noted that compared to last year's motorcycle season, the current one in 2026 turned out to be much more crowded and "motorcycle-oriented": Theater Square was more than half filled with motorcycles and bikers who came for the official opening of the motorcycle season. By the way, the event was attended not only by bikers from Kirov and Kirovo-Chepetsk. Among the crowd of tough men in black and leather and their beautiful riding companions, members of the motorcycle club "Night Wolves" from other cities in Russia, for example, from Kazan, were spotted.
Motorcycles of various brands, technical specifications, and different degrees of "completion" lined up in several rows—from edge to edge—on the main square of Kirov. Despite the fact that by the start of the event there were already several hundred bikes in the square, new ones continued to arrive. The newcomers were greeted with flags—the Russian tricolor and the flag of VyatSU, whose rector, Valentin Pugach, is the chairman of the MC club "Order of Transformation." Among the rows of motorcycles walked both representatives of the biker movement, who evaluated the "horses" of their like-minded peers, and ordinary Kirov residents, including families who came to the square to see the variety of motorcycles, show them to their children, and at least in this way touch the freedom that a motorcycle provides: the roar of the engine, the wind in the face, and the feeling of endless spaces lying beneath the wheels of the motorcycle.
By the way, there was plenty to see: classic bikes, sports bikes, prestigious ones, customized to personal taste, even "passenger" ones—with two seats in the back row. There were also retro scooters, which looked like cute ponies against the backdrop of "Arab stallions," but still—two-wheeled, still—motorcycles, still—roaring, albeit not as loudly as a Japanese sport bike.
People strolling among the "iron horses" periodically took photos against the backdrop of the machines, some even riding the motorcycles with the owner's permission. Some simply watched and were impressed, while others were discussing the technical specifications of various bikes and their capabilities.
The official start of the motorcycle season, as last year, was given by the "first persons": Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Slobodsky, Governor Alexander Sokolov, City Manager Vyacheslav Simakov, Chairman of the "Order of Transformation" Valentin Pugach, and a representative of the motorcycle club "Night Wolves" named Vyacheslav, whose last name the event host unfortunately did not mention. After delivering welcoming words and wishing a successful motorcycle season in 2026, the "first persons" opened the "biker season." And after a while, the main square of Kirov and its surroundings were filled with the roar of hundreds of engines as the bikers set off towards new rides, the wind, the sun, speed, and freedom.
