The convict from Kirov's SIZO-1 went on "vacation" for a future job.
The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Kirov Region reported on the provision of a short-term leave to a convict held in the economic service unit of the pre-trial detention center No. 1 in the regional center. The head of the detention center issued permission for the man to leave the institution. Before his departure, he was instructed, issued an identification card of the established form, and informed about the responsibility for evading punishment and the rules of conduct. During the leave, the convict is under supervision. Among the mandatory requirements are a daily call to the duty officer, being at home during certain hours, and checks at the place of residence by staff members. As part of the outing, the convict visited the employment center of the Kirov Region, where he learned about available job options. The employment center staff advised him on job search questions and resume writing, as well as demonstrated the process of registering a job seeker on the "Work in Russia" portal. The press service of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service noted that providing outings beyond the correctional institution for employed convicts is one of the most effective methods of encouraging law-abiding behavior.
