The fountain season was ceremoniously launched in Kirov.

      At exactly 8:30 PM, the lights of the floating LED fountain lit up in Kirov Park. The celebration began not with water jets, but with welcoming words — before the launch, the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, and the head of Kirov, Elena Kovalyova, addressed the gathered crowd. Both congratulated the residents of Kirov on the recent Victory Day, wishing them a peaceful sky, health, and prosperity. The governor called Kirov Park a source of pride for all residents and one of the most beautiful parks in Russia. "May this multimedia fountain become a place for relaxation, meetings, and bright, significant events for everyone," he said. Alexander Sokolov seemed to be even more inspired than during the opening of the same fountain last year — in any case, this joy was clearly evident in his speech. Many people came — several hundred. Of course, it was not the total sell-out that was seen a year ago, but the crowd looked impressive. From the entrance to the embankment, there were several rows of spectators. People from the "Kamchatka" stood on tiptoes, stretching their necks just to catch a glimpse of the glowing water spectacle. Security and fencing lined the entire perimeter. This year, the show was done in a military-patriotic style: the fountain operated to legendary military songs, and short videos dedicated to the Great Patriotic War were played on the water screen. As a result, it turned out to be not just spectacular, but even beautiful — both technically and emotionally. The audience was captivated: some sang along, while others silently held their phones, recording the event. The weather also cooperated — it was expected to be much colder, but the evening turned out to be quite tolerable. And there was almost no litter left after the event. Unlike last year's opening, when instead of a celebration, the residents of Kirov saw a dirty pond, trash, and chaos (we reported on this), this time everything went decently. People forgot about their daily lives for a few minutes and united in a common impulse — to watch and rejoice. Fountain operating hours: Monday — closed (technical maintenance). Tuesday to Friday: from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM — daytime program; from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM — light-dynamic mode (colored lighting). Saturday and Sunday: from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM — daytime program; from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM — light-dynamic mode; at 9:00 PM — a large light-music multimedia show.
