A Kirov resident faces a long sentence for the rape... of his own wife.
"I had already lived separately from my family - renting an apartment, tired of my wife's partly justified jealousy, although at that time we were still far from divorce. A couple of times a week I would visit the children, and more often due to my wife's affectionate, rather intimate invitations over the phone and SMS. I tried to reconcile with Alina... Yes, it's banal, but just like all the 'stupid men in the world' do: expensive gifts, jewelry, huge bouquets of flowers. On that day, she herself led me to the bedroom, where I kissed, hugged, and caressed my beloved wife. However, I had no desire for intimacy — it's hard to ignite passion when a woman only talks about dividing property."
As Ruslan (name changed) explained, on that day, December 13, 2024, the intimate meeting of the spouses was recorded by a hidden video camera placed in the bedroom, at the suggestion of Alina's lawyer, concealed in a bouquet. And he is ready — out of despair and injustice — to share the video recording, which incidentally formed the basis of the accusation. From which any adult would understand that not only for 'consummation,' but also for ordinary sexual contact, one crucial component — his physiological 'readiness' — was categorically lacking.
"I confess, for the first time in my life I am glad that... I couldn't. And although it was a premeditated, as I later understood, authorial, probably lawyer's, script that went off the planned course, in early April last year I was sent to pre-trial detention for two months," the man recounts.
Today, the Kirov entrepreneur appeared in court as a defendant on charges of 'rape' and 'sexual acts' committed against his own wife.
Defendant's Version
Before Alina suspected Ruslan of infidelity, they had lived in a happy marriage for 13 years. When the question of divorce arose, Ruslan agreed to all of his wife's conditions: she would receive a four-room apartment in a good area, a parking space, a decent 'Japanese car,' and a monthly child support payment of 100,000 rubles. The total value of the property transferred to Alina amounted to 25 million rubles.
The spouses, in order to avoid any property and financial claims against each other after the separation, agreed to sign a prenuptial agreement. However, when the draft document was ready and it only remained to notarize it, Alina did not show up for its signing four times — from August to October 2024.
"Perhaps I didn't fully believe what was happening: how could she leave after so many years together? If I easily allowed myself to fulfill all her wishes — especially to never work anywhere. Therefore, not agreeing to the divorce, I asked the court for three months for reconciliation... Especially since our 'marital relations' not only did not cease, but, I would say, quite the opposite... Even after the divorce — in February last year. And I brought gifts to my wife by the handful: precious jewelry with stones — please, a pearl necklace and earrings — accept, dear... Want to go to the Maldives — let's fly. I also gifted lingerie, boots, and paid for a banquet on her birthday (all financial documents about Alina's quite affluent life are available in the editorial office)," says the accused ex-husband.
The only thing that troubled Ruslan was his wife's increased demands: she requested an additional ten million in cash for all the property. Supposedly, this was her lawyer's advice — otherwise, "it will not end well for you."
"I am not a poor man," Ruslan decided, "but I don't have ten 'lemons.' Neither in cash nor in accounts."
How to achieve a body for 45 million
The first statement of 'rape' allegedly occurring last December was filed by Alina with the Investigative Committee of the Primorsky District on April 8, 2025. And there were no facts reported that would confirm or even hint — even for people with very rich imaginations. Because, even assuming that the former spouses fulfilled their marital duties on March 27. "I rushed in at seven in the morning before the vacation," Ruslan says, "to look for traces of close physical contact, to discover bruises and abrasions or to obtain biological material — it's like asking a miser for snow in the cold."
However, on the same day, without conducting a simple preliminary investigation, Alina's ex-husband was taken off the train, charged, and sent to pre-trial detention for two months the next day. A well-known Kirov lawyer, who initially represented the interests of the alleged rapist, last May, when her 'services' were no longer needed, directly in the Detention Center offered Ruslan a deal: given that the appetites of the two lawyers, on the side of the ex-wife, had grown significantly, the arrested man was offered to hand over an additional 20 million rubles through Ruslan's father.
And such a 'horse appetite' was probably explained by the fact that none of the law enforcement agencies, upon receiving the statement supported by an audio recording of demands and threats: "If there is no money — you will sit for a long time" and "your business will come to an end," considered 'direct blackmail and extortion' promising for investigation. Interestingly, many clients of the 'famous lawyer' believe that his inherent 'audacity in handling cases and defending clients' is permissible after a brief service in the 'police ranks.'
By the way, in case of delays in transferring the 'cash' — until July 4 — the day of the court hearing, where the further measure of restraint was to be determined, 'for disobedience' Ruslan was guaranteed a new term in pre-trial detention — for a long and hard existence, right up to the moment of relocation to one of the 'strict' penal colonies for a very 'long term.' With a very 'bad article' in his history. However, the court changed the measure of restraint and placed the 'lover of his own wife' under 'house arrest.'
Well, in case of agreeing to 'pay the lawyer trio,' Ruslan's ex-wife was supposedly to apply to the Investigative Committee with a statement that... she mistakenly reported the rape. Probably thinking that Ruslan, having spent two months on the bunks, would bow low to her for the apology and offer 'the former' love and friendship.
And the investigation uses the paper volumes of the criminal case as a pipifax or will use them for kindling. Which is much safer for those who investigated the case... (by the way, not once, according to Ruslan, they said that they were 'under pressure from above'). For example, suddenly some visitor to the 'corner of contemplation' decides to read the 'accusatory materials' out of boredom, and he comes across 65 pages of a Nizhny Novgorod expert conclusion stating that the moment of 'forced coitus' is absent. And every word of the suspect is sincere and truthful: he did not beat or threaten his wife, and in the intervals between kisses, he held peaceful conversations about money.
To execute is impossible to pardon
"Of course," Ruslan says, "it was easier to defend myself against power arbitrariness at home. I managed to obtain permission to conduct several expert examinations in other cities. But, despite the fact that they confirm my innocence, the trial started in early February."
As Ruslan explained, he turned to the editorial office in the hope that what he shared would allow Kirov residents — known and unknown to him — to hope that his name would not be associated with the concept of 'violence.'
"I do not hope for an acquittal," Ruslan says, "although I assert that the judge (Primorsky District Court) is genuinely digging for the truth: he is attentive, thoughtful, and carefully studies almost every detail of the events under a microscope. But over this year, I have been firmly drilled into my head that no court will issue an acquittal, as it would supposedly 'strongly hit the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office (which asserted the indictment), and this, like, is a violation of corporate ethics.'
By the way, Ruslan's Moscow lawyer confirmed that he encountered an unproven accusation of a citizen raping his own wife for the first time and was impressed by the 'ideal model of judicial proceedings': 'Here is real law.'"

The 40-year-old, now ex-husband of Alina (name changed), claims that no "violent procedures" took place in the marital bedroom, where their children were just on the other side of the wall, and that it could not have happened.
