On May 6, strong winds tore off part of the roof from house No. 67 on Kalinin Street. Sheets of iron and slate flew off the roof, and debris fell into the yard. A parked car was also damaged.
After the incident, there was a hole left in the roof. Residents fear that during rains, the apartments on the upper floor may be flooded. One of them is home to a disabled child.
As reported by the People's Front, the child's mother, Natalia Gusenko, contacted the management company, but they suggested that she purchase materials herself and temporarily cover the damage. The woman sealed the holes in the attic with thick garbage bags.
Later, the residents sought help from public activists. According to the People's Front, after this, the management company employees removed the bags and temporarily covered the damaged area with slate. The residents were also promised a full roof repair.
The People's Front reported that they have taken the situation under control. If the work does not begin soon, the activists intend to contact the prosecutor's office.
