      Yesterday, May 2, a fire occurred in the open area near the village of Shitovo in the Belokholunitsky district. According to the regional emergency management agency, last year's dry grass caught fire. Due to strong winds, the fire spread quickly. As a result, the area of the fire reached 200 square meters. Two fire crews extinguished the flames. Fortunately, it did not affect residential houses. An administrative case has been initiated. The likely cause of the fire is careless handling of fire. The culprit faces a fine ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 rubles. Residents of the Kirov region are reminded that a special fire safety regime is in effect in the region. Burning garbage and making bonfires is currently prohibited.
