Meteorologists from the Kirov Hydrometeorological Center have released an updated forecast for the first long weekend and the beginning of the work week. In the upcoming Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, May 3, 4, and 5, the weather will be influenced by a southwest wind, which will bring the long-awaited warming to the region.
What to expect in Kirov and the region in the coming days
Overall, the weather will be pleasant with comfortable temperatures, but it will be uneven. While little precipitation is expected in the city, some areas in the region may experience rain and even thunderstorms.
May 3 (Sunday): It will cool down at night to +1…+6°C (in Kirov +3…+5°C), and during the day, the air will warm up to +14…+19°C (in the regional center +15…+17°C). Little to no precipitation is expected in both the city and the region. The wind will be southwest, 6-11 m/s at night, and 7-12 m/s during the day.
May 4 (Monday): It will become noticeably warmer. At night +3…+8°C (in Kirov +6…+8°C), during the day +16…+21°C (in the city +18…+20°C). In the region, there may be light rain in some areas during the day, and even thunderstorms in certain places. However, no precipitation is expected in Kirov. The wind will be southwest, 7-12 m/s.
May 5 (Tuesday): The warmest day of the week. At night +6…+11°C (in Kirov +8…+10°C), during the day +19…+24°C (in the regional center +21…+23°C). Precipitation is possible in some areas of the region, including light rain at night in Kirov. Meteorologists warn of fog at night and thunderstorms during the day in certain areas of the region. The wind will be southwest, 4-9 m/s at night, and 7-12 m/s during the day.
