In the Kirov region, roads and a low-water bridge are flooded.
As of the morning of May 1, the water level in the Vyatka River near Kirov was 441 cm above the zero mark — it decreased by 1 cm over the past day. Meanwhile, in different localities, the dynamics remain mixed: in some places, the water is receding, while in others, it continues to rise.
A total of 113 household territories in several districts of the region remain flooded, as well as 10 sections of local roads. In addition, water has flooded one low-water bridge in the Kiknur district.
Operational groups and rescuers are on duty in the flood zones, and targeted assistance is being provided to residents. According to authorities, the population's life support is not disrupted, and evacuation is not required, reports the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kirov region.
