In Nagorsk, a drunken man "just for fun" hit another with a glass bottle.

      In the Nagorsk district of the Kirov region, a 25-year-old resident of Kirov was convicted under paragraphs "d" and "z" of part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious harm to health out of hooligan motives, using an object used as a weapon). As reported by the prosecutor's office, the incident occurred at night on August 17, 2025, near the café "Cozy House" in the territory of the Sochnevo area of the Cheglakovsky rural settlement.

      Both men were in a state of alcohol intoxication. The victim came to the café with his wife. The defendant, without reason and out of hooligan motives, struck the victim on the head with a 1-liter glass bottle. As a result, the victim suffered a traumatic brain injury, which is medically classified as serious harm to health.

      The young man partially admitted his guilt. He did not dispute the fact of the blow but claimed that it was provoked by a shoulder bump. However, the court refuted these arguments — it was proven that the harm was caused in the absence of provocation.

      The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor. The defendant was taken into custody in the courtroom. The punishment is 2.5 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony.

      In addition, the court granted the victim's claim for compensation for moral damage. The convicted man was ordered to pay 160,000 rubles.
