Oleg Valenchuk is reviving the traditions of healthy leisure and neighborly communication.
Modern children are more eager to sit with gadgets than to spend time outdoors playing with their peers. But it's not just because Zoomers and Alphas grew up on the internet; it's because adults themselves have forgotten about the culture of outdoor games and do not pass it on to their children. In Kirov, the initiator of reviving the culture of yard games is State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk, who aims to bring back the traditions of active recreation and strengthen friendly ties between neighbors.
This time, participants were able to test their skills in team competitions. For this, it was necessary to gather a team of at least 5 people living in the same house. Family teams competed separately. Participants had to demonstrate agility, speed, and sometimes ingenuity. As a result, the winners were the team from house No. 99 on Popova Street, as well as the Penkov and Novgorodtsev families. As a gift, they received musical speakers.
The highlight of the holiday was the performance of boys from the creative studio "Talent Quarter," who delighted everyone with their singing. Both adults and children danced to their songs.
All participants of the yard games received a powerful boost of positive emotions and, of course, sweet treats. The winners of the snowman contest, which took place a week earlier, were also awarded. The kids worked hard to make their mini snowmen, crafted from fresh April snow, look original. They used all available materials: bottle caps, pebbles, and even coins. Some participants were very eager for their snow friend not to freeze, so they decided to make him a scarf out of ribbon. To get it, the kids had to do push-ups. In the end — victory and sweet prizes.
Let us remind you that the finale of the project will be a large-scale event in May with the awarding of winners and a bright celebration for all residents of the area. All details about upcoming events can be found in the chat.
- The "Games of Our Yard" marathon is an important step towards reviving the traditions of active family recreation, strengthening neighborhood communities, and promoting a healthy lifestyle, - notes Oleg Valenchuk. - Such events provide parents and children with a unique opportunity for joint leisure outdoors. It is also a great way to get to know neighbors better, strengthen friendships, and expand social circles.
