Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region conducted an operational-preventive event called "Search." Its main goal is to detain suspects and defendants hiding from investigation and court, as well as to search for missing persons.
As a result of the operation, the police established the whereabouts of 79 individuals. Of these, 29 were wanted for committing crimes.
Among those detained was a 21-year-old citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, previously placed on an international wanted list for fraud. He was found by criminal investigation department officers in the Raduzhny microdistrict in Kirov. According to the police, the young man came to the city for work and was in Russia legally. The question of his transfer to the initiator of the search is currently being resolved.
In addition, during the event, 17 missing persons were found, including two minors. The police note that such operations are conducted regularly and are aimed at enhancing safety in the region.
