The EU has imposed sanctions against the marketplace bank Wildberries and 19 other banks.

      For the first time, a financial organization associated with the Wildberries marketplace and the Russ group has come under sanctions — Wildberries Bank. In addition, Post Bank, "Russian Standard," Levoberezhny Bank, Khlunov Bank, and a number of other credit organizations have been included in the sanctions list.

      It is noted that the imposed restrictions have become part of another stage of pressure on the financial sector of Russia. At the same time, bank representatives are already stating their readiness to operate under the new conditions.

      In particular, Khlunov Bank, which has also been sanctioned, reported that the restrictions will not affect customer service. The organization emphasized that it had previously adapted its internal processes considering possible external factors.

      According to credit organizations, all key services continue to operate as usual: internal transfers, ATM operations, and mobile applications remain available. Furthermore, banks are reporting restructured schemes for cross-border payments.

      Experts note that the inclusion of a bank associated with a major marketplace in the sanctions lists may indicate an expansion of pressure not only on the financial sector but also on the ecosystems of large Russian companies.
