Kirov teenagers traveled 100 km on a freight train.
According to the transport police, four teenagers aged 13 to 16 were near the railway tracks in the Novovyatsky district. At some point, they decided to take a ride and climbed onto the transition platform of one of the wagons of a stationary freight train. When the train started moving and gained speed, they could no longer get off.
As a result, the teenagers traveled to the Zuevka station, where they were met by police officers.
Preventive talks were held with the minors and their parents. One of the teenagers—a 16-year-old boy—was held administratively responsible for violating transport behavior rules. Protocols were drawn up against the parents of all participants for failing to fulfill their duties in raising their children.
The transport police reminded that "catching" is a deadly dangerous hobby. Falling from a train at speed, contact with live wires, and sharp maneuvers of the train can lead to serious injuries or death. In addition, such actions disrupt the operation of railway transport and entail liability.
