Inserted and removed: in Kirov, the village was renamed twice.

      In the order of the deputy head of the city administration dated February 17, 2026, signed by Oleg Sozinov, the village of Kochergintsy was already named with an additional letter "r" and became Korchergintsy. As reported in the TG channel "Toptigin," this village, which is part of the Lenin district of the city of Kirov, has existed since 1662 and was previously called Kochergintsy. "Well, what could possibly have displeased the gentlemen officials about the name of the ancient (established in 1662) Vyatka village of Kochergintsy, located in the southwest of the Lenin district? But whether they sensed some danger in the village's stove (which, as is known, the devil himself tends to), or something else suspicious caught their attention – the deputy head of the city administration Oleg Sozinov decided, just in case, to add another letter 'r' to the name. And the village became Korchergintsy," writes Toptigin.

      And already on April 14, 2026, the same Sozinov signed an order to amend the previous one. "To make changes to the order of the deputy head of the administration of the city of Kirov dated 17.02.2026 No. 1074-zr 'On the preparation of documentation for the planning of the territory (project of the territory planning) for part of the territory of the settlement - the village of Korchergintsy of the municipal formation 'City of Kirov' the following changes: in the heading of the text, the words 'village of Korchergintsy of the municipal formation 'City of Kirov' shall be replaced with the words 'village of Kochergintsy of the municipal formation 'City of Kirov','" the document states.

      Other changes made were also related to the renaming of Korchergintsy to Kochergintsy. However, the document does not specify the reason for which this order was issued and signed.

      Perhaps, as noted by "Toptigin," our administration is "not released from the renaming itch."
