Improvement in Kirov style: boards and tape
In social networks, Kirov residents share photos of underground passages that were flooded after heavy snowfall. One of the most problematic is at Oktyabrsky Avenue, 24/2, near the entrance of the "Leps" factory. After several days of snowfall, and then a positive temperature that settled today, April 22, almost the entire area is flooded. People are forced to balance on bending beams, constantly risking falling into a puddle and at least ruining their clothes and mood, and at most getting injured.
The situation is slightly better in the passage on Voroсhkov Street, 54B. There are "islands of dry land," and water mainly accumulates near the stairs. But this does not save from discomfort. Another example of the same approach to repairs, landscaping, and aesthetics is the building at Kazanskaya, 87. The building, constructed in 1856 (formerly the House of the clergy of the Stepanov Church), is not a cultural heritage site and is subject to demolition. Its facade is still covered by a dirty banner that was torn off by the wind last year. According to local residents, the torn fabric was somehow secured in place — the fastenings resemble homemade ones: tape, threads, PVA glue. They look unreliable.
In 2025, we already wrote about this building: at that time, the banner structure had torn and posed a threat to pedestrian safety. A year later, nothing has changed — the hole in the facade has still not been patched up properly.

Improvement in Kirov style: boards and tape
In the underground passages near the "Leps" factory and on Vorovskogo Street, wooden walkways have been laid over the puddles. The facade of the building at Kazanskaya, 87, which is not a monument and is subject to demolition, is still covered with a piece of banner taped up.
