In Kirov, the production of special asphalt for the repair of Pobedilovo has begun.
A new modular asphalt concrete plant has started operating in Kirov. It will produce a special high-strength mixture necessary for the repair of the runway at the Pobedilovo airport. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
The project is being implemented as part of federal funding under the national project "Efficient Transport System." About 2 billion rubles have been allocated for the repairs. After the work is completed, the equipment is planned to be dismantled and used on other road projects.
The new plant is capable of producing up to 180 tons of asphalt concrete mixture per hour. Each batch will undergo laboratory tests, followed by a trial laying to confirm the quality of the surface.
On April 22, the actual repair of the runway at Pobedilovo airport will begin. Work will be carried out around the clock. It is planned to update about 190,000 square meters of the surface. The repairs are expected to be completed in 45 days — by early June, the airport should resume full operations.
