A large-scale repair of railway tracks has begun in the Kirov region.

      Repairs have begun on the Ardashi – Prosnica and Acvezh – Kotel'nich sections. Railway workers are carrying out a full range of tasks: cleaning and replenishing gravel ballast, replacing elements of the track superstructure, laying new rail strings, and welding seamless "velvet" track.

      Throughout the year, large-scale work is also planned on the Strizhi – Lyangasovo, Yar – Falonki, Kirov – Krasnoselsky – Pozdino, Almezh – Novy, and Pinyug – Oktyabrsky sections. Additionally, repairs will take place at the Lyangasovo, Kotel'nich, Strizhi, and Pozdino stations.

      As part of the campaign, it is planned to update about 78 kilometers of railway tracks and lay 23 switch points.

      As specialists note, the work is aimed at improving the safety of transportation and increasing the speed of train movement.
