Russians can become cosmonauts through State Services.

      Applications for participation in the distance selection can be submitted until June 30, 2026. Candidates are subject to strict requirements. In particular, it is necessary to have Russian citizenship, be no older than 35 years, meet the height and weight parameters, have a higher education, and at least three years of work experience in the specialty. Knowledge of a foreign language, excellent health, physical endurance, and psychological resilience are also mandatory. The selection will take place in several stages. First, you need to submit an application and undergo a medical examination, then wait for an invitation to the in-person stage. This includes a repeat medical examination, an interview, passing physical fitness standards, and professional tests. Based on the results of the selection, a decision will be made by an interdepartmental commission. Successful candidates will be able to sign a contract with the Cosmonaut Training Center and begin training.
