Fraudsters took out a loan in the name of a Kirov resident through "Gosuslugi"
In the Sunsky District of the Kirov Region, a fraudster gained access to the personal account of a local resident on the "Gosuslugi" portal and took out a microloan in his name. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region.
A 70-year-old resident of one of the villages in the district contacted the police. The man reported that he received a notification about a debt to a microfinance organization, even though he had not taken out any loans.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the pensioner had previously changed his phone number and stopped using his old SIM card. However, his account on "Gosuslugi" was linked to the old number.
The fraudster was able to gain access to this number, log into the personal account, and using the passport details, took out a loan of 5,000 rubles, which he then stole.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the incident, and individuals involved in the crime are being identified.
