Christ is risen: the Paschal service has begun in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos.

      In Kirov, the solemn Easter services have begun. The festive service, led by Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Slobodskoy, started at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Kirov. By midnight, the church began to fill with believers who came to celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ. Along with ordinary residents of Kirov, the Bright holiday of Easter was attended by Governor Alexander Sokolov, City Duma Deputy Andrey Berezin, and Regional Duma Deputy Boris Vesnin. The director of the Kirov Region Tourism Development Center, Alexey Cheptsov, was also spotted in the church. The services began with prayers, followed by a procession: parishioners, led by the clergy, made a procession around the church, dispelling the darkness with dozens of candles and proclaiming the good news — Christ is risen!
