49% of residents in the Volga Federal District follow the social media of employees from their dream companies.
According to a SuperJob study, official news and corporate publications from companies are less trusted than personal posts from employees. 49% of respondents from the Volga Federal District read posts from employees of companies they consider as potential workplaces on social media. 36% of survey participants stated that such posts increase their trust in the employer organization.
The audience is most interested in three types of content from employees: stories about the real working atmosphere (75%), information about the transparency of working conditions and employee programs (70%), and emotional posts about workdays (52%). At the same time, 39% of respondents follow such content from time to time, even when not actively looking for a job. 19% of Volga Federal District residents study posts from potential colleagues right before an interview, while 12% do so before starting a new job to assess the atmosphere in the team.
The most popular channel for tracking information about employers has become Telegram channels (47%). This is followed by VKontakte (40%) and official company websites (34%). 30% of respondents pay attention to employer pages on specialized recruiting sites.
The most attentive readers turned out to be respondents over 45 years old (71% follow company news). Among young people under 24, this figure is 64%. In terms of professional fields, employees in "Arts, Entertainment, Mass Media" lead (79% read Telegram about employers), followed by "Marketing, Advertising, PR" (70%) and "Information Technology" (69%). Among IT specialists, specialized internet platforms (32%) and company websites (26%) are also in demand.
Experts link this trend to the fact that social networks are increasingly used as a channel for job searching and assessing the reputation of employers. According to the survey, every fourth Russian has already received a job offer through their accounts. This practice is particularly noticeable in the technology, finance, and education sectors, where employee visibility becomes part of corporate culture.
