Kirov residents collected more than 100 kg of treats for homeless cats and dogs in a month.
Almost 100 kg of dry and wet food, grains, litter for litter boxes, as well as bowls and toys — this is the result of the charity marathon "Wet Nose" in Kirov. The event was organized for a month by the local activity centers (LAC) No. 3 and 5 of the Oktyabrsky district.
As the organizers themselves said, such a volume of assistance would not have been possible without the response from the residents of Kirov. "People did not pass by and willingly supported those who cannot take care of themselves," noted the LAC.
Three kindergartens became particularly active participants: No. 124 "Mystery," No. 166 "Alyonushka," and No. 12 "Good Tale." The children, along with their parents and teachers, brought not only food for the animals but also bedding, balls, and other small items that make the lives of shelter inhabitants a little cozier.
All collected products and items have already been handed over to shelters for homeless animals and volunteer organizations. The district administration emphasized that the "Wet Nose" campaign could become a good tradition if the residents of Kirov continue to show the same responsiveness.
