"The purchase of road equipment" turned out to be a six-year lease.

      Today, the government of the Kirov region announced that the authorities have decided to purchase new road special equipment. It is intended to be sent to the districts. We are talking about 29 machines and 29 trailers for them. Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until April 14.

      Meanwhile, the state procurement website reports that it is not about purchasing machines at all, but about concluding a leasing agreement. Recall that this is a type of long-term rental, where one can obtain, for example, the same equipment and use it while making regular payments. At the end of the leasing period, there will be an option to buy it out or return it to the owner.

      Judging by the published documentation, payments will have to be made over six years — from 2026 to 2031. The initial price of the contract is more than 184.66 million rubles. The machines must be delivered to the Kirov region by the end of June. They must be new, not older than 2026.

      The technical assignment states that three units of equipment (along with trailers) will be received by the Soviet and Shabalinsky districts, two by the Verkhnekamsky, Vyatskopolyansky, Darovsky, and Malmyzhsky districts, and one by the Urzhumsky, Afanasyevsky, Belokholunitsky, Kiknur, Kumen, Lebyazhsky, Nemskiy, Nolin, Omutninsky, Orlovsky, Pizhan, Svechin, Slobodsky, Tuzhinsky, and Falen districts.

      It is also worth noting that, according to the documents, the funds will be allocated not only from the regional budget but also from local budgets. However, the release mentioned the use of regional funds specifically.
