While some residents of Kirov were joking on April 1, others faced a real threat. Fire and rescue units in the region promptly responded to four man-made fires, but one of them drew special attention due to its "domestic" nature.

      A loud incident occurred in the city of Vyatskie Polyany on Krupskaya Street. The fire broke out in a two-apartment private residential building. The flames managed to engulf an area of 10 square meters — enough to create a critical threat to the entire structure.

      Ten emergency ministry employees and three units of special equipment were urgently dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, the fire was quickly localized, preventing the destruction of the house. However, unfortunately, there were casualties. As a result of the incident, one person was injured.

      Investigators have already established the preliminary cause of the fire. It was a banal, yet no less dangerous, carelessness. As it turned out, the owner of one of the apartments was negligent while smoking. An unattended cigarette led to serious consequences: the very person responsible for the incident ended up among the injured.

      In addition to this case, during the reporting period, rescuers responded to the aftermath of two traffic accidents and assisted in other emergency situations. Emergency ministry employees once again remind residents of the region: smoking in bed or near flammable objects is the main cause of "night" fires. Take care of yourself and your home.
