A bridge collapsed in a village near Kirov.
In the Pizhansky District of the Kirov Region, a bridge over the Tumshinka River has collapsed. The incident occurred on March 28 on Zarechnaya Street in the village of Bezvodnoye.
According to the press service of the ONF, this concerns a 12-meter bridge that connected the street with the center of the settlement. After the partial collapse, traffic on it was closed. About 30 houses are located in this area, where mostly elderly people and disabled individuals live.
Currently, access to the street is only possible via a second bridge, but it is narrow and suitable only for passenger cars. Passage for special vehicles, including fire trucks, has become impossible.
As a result, in the event of a fire or other emergency situation, help will have to be awaited from the district center. Additionally, there have been problems with conducting the sowing season — heavy machinery cannot reach the fields and warehouses.
Local residents continue to use the emergency bridge despite the danger. The alternative route either goes through destroyed and muddy areas or takes about two kilometers.
According to residents, the crossing was partially repaired last year, but currently, no work is being done. People have turned to the People's Front for help.
The district administration reported that a project for the restoration of the bridge is planned to be prepared within a month and sent to the regional Ministry of Transport. However, the issue of financing has not yet been resolved. Materials have also been sent to the prosecutor's office.
