Teenagers are being drawn into sabotage at energy facilities.

      Kirovenergo warned residents of the region about the inadmissibility of trespassing on the territory of energy facilities and interfering with the operation of power lines and substations.

      As specialists note, such actions fall into the category of serious and particularly serious crimes. They are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years. Moreover, criminal liability arises from the age of 14.

      Energy workers are particularly alarmed by the fact that criminals often try to involve teenagers and young people in illegal activities. Through messengers, they pose as law enforcement or security service employees, offering money for completing tasks or resorting to blackmail.

      The company also reminded that energy facilities pose an increased danger: touching the equipment can be fatal, as can getting too close to it.

      Residents of Kirov are urged to follow electrical safety rules and to immediately report any suspicious individuals near power lines or substations to law enforcement or the hotline.
