In the Kirov region, investments in the economy decreased in 2025.
According to Kirovstat, in the region, a total of 140.1 billion rubles were invested in the development of the economy and social sphere by the end of 2025. This amounts to 91.3% of the level of 2024.
A decrease in investment activity is noted not only in the region but also across Russia and the Volga Federal District as a whole. After a favorable 2024, businesses became more cautious about investing in development.
The main volume of investments, amounting to 103.9 billion rubles, was provided by large and medium-sized enterprises, excluding small businesses. The largest portion of funds was directed towards the purchase of machinery and equipment: 36.2 billion rubles. Another 21.4 billion rubles went to the construction and reconstruction of facilities, 17.2 billion to non-residential buildings, and 9.9 billion to housing. Enterprises spent 11 billion rubles on transport.
The most attractive sector for investors has become manufacturing. Nearly 30 billion rubles were invested in it, accounting for about 29% of the total investment volume. Within the industry, the leaders are the production of metal products, chemical, food, and woodworking industries.
More than half of all investments (56%) were financed by companies using their own funds. Among the attracted sources, budget funds (53%) and bank loans (29%) played a major role.
