In Gagarin Park, a dangerous manhole was hastily covered up.
On the Kirov social networks the day before, March 20, alarming information spread: an open manhole was discovered on the pedestrian path in Gagarin Park. The dangerous pit was "secured" in the most inventive way — a stick wrapped in warning tape was stuck in it, and another stick was added to the snowdrift nearby.
At the same time, on one side, a high snowbank blocked the view of the manhole, and any passerby not looking down risked simply falling inside. Considering that families with children and dog owners walk in the park daily, the situation looked, to put it mildly, alarming.
The very next day, March 21, the manhole was "repaired." However, the result turned out to be no less impressive. Judging by the photos, the pit was probably filled with fresh concrete right in the water and mud, without any effort to pump it out or properly prepare the base. The surface has already begun to crack, and around it are puddles and a mess of snow and dirt. It gives the impression that the task was not to eliminate the problem, but to quickly report its resolution.
Kirov residents walking in the park already doubt that such "repairs" will last even a single season.
