The deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted a bill in two readings that expands the category of citizens entitled to free legal assistance. The initiative was introduced by the Public Chamber of the Kirov region.
The main change concerns parents who raise children alone. Previously, only single parents with a child under the age of three had the right to free legal assistance. The adopted law grants this right to parents raising children in single-parent families up to the age of 14.
