Rosselkhoznadzor held an individual entrepreneur from Kirov who produces meat semi-finished products administratively liable after dangerous bacteria — Listeria — were found in his products, the agency’s press service reported. The inspection took place in October 2025. Specialists took samples of minced meat, beefsteaks and lyulya-kebab in the workshop and sent them for testing to a laboratory in Kazan. The analyses showed the presence of Listeria, which did not meet food safety requirements. The dangerous batch weighing 12 kilograms was removed from circulation and sent for destruction in December. On January 14, 2026, the entrepreneur was fined under the article on violations of technical regulations. Rosselkhoznadzor explained that the presence of Listeria may indicate breaches of sanitary standards, production technology, or the conditions of meat storage and transportation.
