A Kirov resident transferred 152,000 rubles to scammers "for auto parts".
As the police established, in mid-November a man found online a company that supposedly sold auto parts. After contacting the "manager" he selected the desired item and transferred 131 thousand rubles as a prepayment to the specified account details.
A month later the seller contacted him again and said he needed an additional 21 thousand rubles—allegedly for a customs fee. After transferring the money the man from Kirov was promised a tracking number to follow the parcel, but this never materialized.
Later the man tried to contact the company's representatives, but all contacts were unavailable and the account on the classifieds site had been deleted. Realizing he had been defrauded, the victim reported it to the police.
