One person died in a fire in Kirov Oblast on January 5.
According to the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kirov Region, the most serious fire occurred in Urzhum on Volodarsky Street. The fire engulfed the outbuildings of a private house over an area of 40 square meters. Seven people and two pieces of equipment took part in the firefighting. As a result of the fire one person died. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
Another fire was recorded in Kirov, in the village of Malaya Subbotikha on Krestyanskaya Street. A private bathhouse caught fire there; the fire covered an area of 28 square meters. Eighteen rescuers and five pieces of equipment worked at the scene. According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
