Vostochny was appointed acting head.

      Vladimir Snegirev has been appointed acting head of the Vostochny settlement. The corresponding decree was signed by the regional governor, Alexander Sokolov.

      The campaign for the election of the head of Vostochny began in early December. The previous head, Vladimir Korepanov, after two years in office, suddenly left, effectively leaving the settlement without leadership. Local residents recall Korepanov’s tenure as a period of endless big promises and minimal real action.

      Three people are vying for the post: Anna Kokorina, an official from the Omutninsk district administration; Svetlana Pechenitsyna, who is currently head of the administration of the Shakhrovskoye rural settlement; and Vladimir Snegirev, head of the water supply and sewage shop at Vostok LLC.

      Snegirev will carry out the duties of the head of Vostochny until the day the settlement’s head is officially elected.
