The document has already been published on the official portal of legal acts and amends several federal laws. Now, using Max one can verify age not only when purchasing alcohol and tobacco products, but also when gaining access to certain types of informational materials, participating in lotteries, attending entertainment events, and purchasing dangerous gas-containing household goods.
The law also provides for the extrajudicial blocking of websites that sell tobacco and hookahs online, and the procedure for registering domain names for government agencies will be changed: this will now be handled by special non-profit organizations designated by the government, reports the newspaper Kommersant.
