This Saturday, December 27, mass traffic police raids will take place on the roads of Kirov and the surrounding districts: officers will stop everyone and check them for signs of intoxication. Motorists will be monitored not only by traffic police officers but also by civilian activists, volunteer squads and members of the "Night Patrol" movement. Motorists are reminded: driving under the influence will cost a 45,000‑ruble fine and suspension of driving privileges for one and a half to two years. To avoid conflicts and disputes, dashcams have been installed in all patrol cars. Those who witness a violation are urged to report it to the police.
