A major drone center may be established in Kirov.

      At a meeting of the committees of the Legislative Assembly, the Minister of Finance of the Kirov Region, Larisa Makoveeva, informed deputies that the region has submitted an application to create a research and production center for testing and competencies in the field of unmanned aviation. According to plans, the region is prepared to allocate about 700 million rubles for its launch, the press service of the Kirov Region government reported.

      The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently conducting a federal selection of regions where such centers will be established. They will become part of a network being formed under the national project "Unmanned Aerial Systems."

      It should be noted that this area is already being actively developed in the Kirov Region. Recently, the region opened its first Center for the Development of Unmanned Systems.
