Kirov residents provided themselves with potatoes and vegetables.

      Kirovstat has completed another phase of its survey of personal subsidiary household plots and released the results. It turned out that residents of the Kirov region actively provide themselves with produce from their own garden plots. According to statisticians, in 2024 the region produced 96 kilograms of potatoes and 56 kilograms of vegetables per capita — both open-field and greenhouse. Interestingly, more than half of the potatoes consumed by the region’s residents are grown in their own household plots. The bulk of the harvest comes from individual household plots rather than from large agricultural enterprises.
